Overview
Together with our partner OpenSonde, the Environmental Monitoring Platform combines low-power design and remote communications to provide continuous environmental monitoring at an affordable price.
Platform Variants
Our sondes are colloquially known as 'bobs' and come in two flavours:
RiverPuck
Designed for freshwater monitoring including rivers, lakes and reservoirs.
SeaPuck
Designed for coastal and marine environmental monitoring applications.
What It Does
Remote Monitoring
Collects environmental data every five minutes and transmits it on the hour via 5G connectivity.
Local Logging
Stores measurements on an SD card for redundancy.
How It Works
Citizen Science
Local citizen scientists adopt and care for their bob, with regular easy maintenance and monitoring its readings.
Website
Data is collected on OpenSonde which provides graphs automatically augmented with recent rainfall and sewage discharge events. Notes and photos can also be added to the timeline.
App
Our install-free webapp enables deeper dives into bob's activities. Using Bob's Bluetooth connectivity it shows live readings, and data files and logs can be downloaded and shared. Firmware update is also handled.
